Version Protocol changed ???

hello 
does anyone have this problem too?

I tried to log my account but when I select the Bartz server appears the message "you've been disconected from the server" and some legend on the bottom of the window with "your protocol version is different, please continue" but no log after that.

And obviously I didnt change anything :/

Could anyone help me on this?

Here's a quick, and easier tip.

U dont need to reinstall (do this ONLY if my method doesnt solve your problem).

1st step. GET THE ERROR (in some miraculous way, if you do!)

2nd step. enter your password again (it will tell you that acc is in use).

3rd step. enter your password again, and click ENTER just ONCE (so you see the server selection window).

4th step. press CANCEL (do not connect to any server).

5th step. enter your password again. (!!!)

6th step, press enter AGAIN at server selection.

7th step - by now, you should be IN.

Voila, dat simple!

I do this every time when i get this type of error while loging in. (discovered it accidentally). Works for me 99% of time. If this doesnt work for you, either you are doing something wrong, or you indeed need a reinstall.

1)Get file edit for freya
2)Go to
3)Open -> go to ur freya / vanir system / l2.ini
4)Then save and encrypt to ver 413
5)Put it on ur desktop
6)Replace it with the one in the system.
7) Login

The version, Its not actually different.. Its a glitch in auth server and client comm. U get pinged out and its somehow fixed on its own. Thats why u just need to dc yourself from active session and re-launch that particular box / client. It doesnt happen too often, but only happened on random, with a random box, usually just 1 out of 12-20 im logging in. 98% of cases it doesnt show up. Just sometimes ;) So its a glitch.

Thats not a glitch , lol.
Versions are different.
For example , if u enter in a high five server ( latest revision ) with an ini of an earlier revision it will say that your protocol is different ( tested )
If u wanna see it too , go and create a server and try to log in with a different ini. 

Since this fuckfesh happened with the accounts here, i suggest you do re-download the client  , delete the system in it and use the Vanirs updater . 
You should be fine after that.

It is a glitch.  I get this error all the time and do exactly what Wutang says.  Sometimes their client does not like me so I have to punch it hard.

Ive up to date files of vanir, and my client is not screwed up by hi5 client. Your method would fix issues, when ppl use hi5 clients.. So, its  just a freaking comm glitch between client and auth serv. ;)

Moreover, if my protocol would indeed be different, i would not be able to log in with any box, at all.

This happens like 1% of login tries, and then, randomly between different ammount of boxes being loaded (like i said before, just 1 is affected, usually after few have been logged in already).

This happenes more frequently to me lately.  The only thing I can do is close the L2 clienet and open it up again praying it will not happen again.  It willnot get fixed.  It has happened in the 2.5 years I have played here.  They will just tell you that you need to download the client from their website.  And they will assume you have a Hi5 client installed.
