hello i dont know if it is a bug, in start that u need the gemstone for newbie helper, it doesnt drop or give it to my inventory,iam 8lvl and still nothing

It's one of the only thing that drop on the floor. So verify the floor. ;)
Sometimes too, it seem (i'm not really sure) you need too to speak at least two or three times to the newbie helper to be sure to have the "fake" quest.

Also, ask for academy. Most clans will pay you for it. Then you can acquire buffs from a NPC buffer. NPC buffers are by every GK that is not at a starter zone.
