Mages

Hello guys,

I dont know about staff and other players opinion, so I opened this post to know and discuss. Here on server I realized that few mages are really active. I think this could be the difficult of Mana. Well, I know some up areas have x10 drop of mana herb, but Freya is a client that every powerful place of farm, fighters works better (Hellbound, Giants cave, Gracia), I know in gracia theres an "area" to mages, where their power to deal damage is increased, but they are a minority, so, hardly a party will go to "mages area".

So, I'd like to suggest, not to make Mana potion (that sucks), but to create some way of play as mage be less "Sad", here go some suggestion:

1- Increases global mana regeneration. I know people will say that elders will be weakened cause they burn mana, but actually, their mana regeneration will inrease too, so, they can Burn more mana and heal more. and elders can burn mana very very fast, so it wont be a problem.

2-Buff "mana regeneration" of Spellsinger Class on NPC buffer. Will increase mana regen without interfere in Oly or another situations.

3-Improve Kookaburras recharge: reduce delay of pet recharge/increase power. (THATS MY FAVOURITE, cause dont interfere in pvp, cause you can kill kookaburra, and it cant be used in Oly).

I say that cause fighters can do most of things by themselves, like fortress, farm, etc. but its totaly impossible go in a fortress using a mage, without a very good recharger friend with you. Mages deal a great damage, I know, but, without mana, they do nothing, NOTHING.
Furthermore, Daggers, gladiators, and other fighter classes that use a lot of mana will be more confortable to play.
Im not saying to put mana regen that a guy can use all skill with no concern, but just to increase

So we could See all classes on server with more equality

Re: Mages

My initial response to this is no, but keep in mind it still needs to be discussed with the rest of the staff. There are XP zones of all levels for mages that drop more mana herbs than a player will ever need. At end game, mages can comfortably kill on PI, IoP, Field of Silence/Whipsers for S80 mats and element stones. Lineage2 was never created with the intent of being a game you solo'd. Instead of increasing any of these things, I would like to see a better sense of teamwork, grouping, and all around community.

I think all of the dedicated players here feel the same way I do about L2Vanir, but it takes the server as a whole to really help us grow. Instead of telling that person who really wants to play a mage no, they can't come along or that they need to re-roll etc., include them. There are players that want to play EEs and SEs, and these players often get excluded as well. There are easier solutions to these problems than editing skills or global regeneration, which is something we will not do.

A solution I like for fort farming, add mana herbs to gaurds. Of course, this is not my desicion alone to make. Just another suggestion!

Re: Mages

Yes, teamwork is the point, but tankers, titans, doombringers here, can solo even bosses, barely using mana because the great amount of buffs of critical rate/power and vampiric you can get. Mages can Farm just in areas with mana herb or with an elder help. However, the chance of Mana herbs in other mobs (guards or another ones) could be a great idea.
