Hello.
I'll cut the story short - Please remove the ability to attack with mounts and weapons on. By letting ppl having weapons on, and able to attack a 250 speed mount, ruins ANY fun in this game. Especially, in this case. I am an archer, my only and best defense is speed, and ability to shoot from distance. Under VERY RARE circumstances, i can reach speed of 250. But, daggers, and any other close combat characters, who normally do not have that ability, can use the mount, and get to me with it, and moreover, attack and kill me while sitting on it. Mount is supposed to be working like a transport, not a disbalancing pvp weapon. Please consider the idea of removing weapon while riding this mount. Otherwise, this server becomes pure close range server, cause everyone has that mount and keeps using it. And let me tell you, that is no fun at all. I consider this a very big flaw in gameplay. Unless you deliberately want to make this server a hand-to-hand server then sure, go along, leave it. And another thing, I can use my bow while mounting the lion, but with a hand-to-hand range, so i get no advantage of it whatsoever. If names are required, Ive seen ZauberSpalte use this tactic quite often. As a dwarf spoiler, he can not catch up with me that fast. He gets close, but with mount he basically keeps hitting me with auto attacks, while i run. Mount in question - Tawny Lion mount, Purple maned horse, Jet Bike, and Steam Beetle. All these "mounts" can be used to achieve 250 speed, yet with weapons on. Thanks for reading, I hope this will improve gameplay.
P.S. I've heard from people countless times, that the mounts are imbalancing the Events too, because some people do not have such mounts, and therefore, they are not particulary healthy for FAIR gameplay. As a means of transportation - np sure, but in pvp.. they give unfair advantage to close range fighers. In this case - archers, mages, and healers can become obselete. Why have them, if you can have an army of mount-using jarheads with no brain and "fair" sense of gameplay. I for one, have never used this cheap trick, because i support fair game play and this is exactly the opposite of fair.
