Obviously depends on the day but usually between 150 - 250.
You can check it in-game using alt+b.

Not that hard to figure- log in hit alt+b then count all the shops in giran and aden plus the buffers that are just standing around deduct that from the numbes alt+b says and you will have your number of ACTIVE people not some smoke blown up your wazoo number ..

When I log on it says about 150 people. But, I know several people have about 6 buffers logged on. I think there is about 40 stores world wide. I would say at any given time there is 40+ people.
