Some targetable doors can be skipped easily. (Most of the forts' doors). It can be achieved in 3 ways:
1. Stand very close to the door and use arrow keys to run to it. It will look like the character is running in place behind the door but after some time camera shows the player his/her character is inside. It can run freely and attack stuff like if it was inside, too. (This method doesn't always work).
2. Target something on the other side of the door using /targetnext or /target <something>, press attack and wait. The character will attack its target normally and sometimes camera will show the character is past the door, too. (This method doesn't always work as well).
3. Target something on the other side of the door, make sure the target "Can be seen" and use Shadow Step skill. This method would probably work as well with other skills that change the character's position like Warp (haven't tried, it's only a guess).
Although mostly harmless, this can be a life-saver - happened to me to get stuck in Seven Signs, Seal of the Emperor quest. One of the blue doors, which should open when all mobs in the room player has encountered are dead, didn't open. I've checked the whole area for remaining mobs only to find it empty. By whole area I mean everywhere beginning where Shunaiman NPC stands and that instance is very hard to get lost in so I'm sure I've checked it whole. Luckily, the method 1. of the bug worked on that door and I was able to succesfully proceed with the quest.
I've proffited from this bug by entering fortresses I farmed without wasting any time for destroying gates. Even though this is clearly a profit, it's only a time-saver in my opinion and not affecting the farm in an important way - attacking the gate is very boring and in about the same time any captain is killable so it's a matter of 2k KE = 30kk adena. I won't abuse this bug anymore if the crew decides it should be punishable.
